Upcoming dates

I offer consultations at a variety of times to fit your family’s needs. You can find daytime, evening, or weekend appointments on my calendar. We tend to schedule up to 4-6 weeks in advance, so if you don’t see a date or time that fits your schedule, check back.

How do I schedule?

You will:

  1. Reserve your appointment on my calendar:
  2. Make payment within 24 hours. (via Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal)
  3. Complete the consultation information form before our meeting.

We will:

  1. Send you a confirmation email with your Zoom meeting login once we receive your payment.
  2. Send you a pre-work email containing
    • link to the consultation information form
    • PDF attachments of academic planning worksheets

How / where do we meet?

All consultations are held on Zoom. You will be sent a link to our meeting; you can use your computer, phone, or tablet to join. (More information on how to join a Zoom meeting here.)

What will we discuss?

We can discuss any questions regarding college admission, high school course selection, standardized testing, extracurricular activities, or financial aid/scholarships.

Who can participate?

All family members are invited to participate. Depending on your situation it may be appropriate  for me to meet with parents and students, just a student, or just a parent. It’s your consultation; do what seems right for your family.

Because we are meeting via video conference, you can include family members who are in different physical locations at that time. This is an ideal way to include non-custodial parents or parents who are frequently out of town on business.

You can include siblings in the meeting. If you plan to discuss more than one student, make sure you complete a consultation information form for each and understand we may not be able to discuss issues in great depth because you are choosing to split the session among multiple siblings.

Other questions. . .

How long is the typical consultation?

Most consultations last 45-60 minutes. Of course, some are shorter for clients who only have a couple questions.

Can we meet in person?

I no longer offer in-person consultations in the Sugar Land / West Houston area. (Too much demand from out of area clients + too much time in the car!) Occasionally, I might have in-person opportunities; join my newsletter list to receive announcements. (I offered one in-person day in fall 2019.)

I do offer VIP sessions for clients who really want to meet me in person. A standard VIP session includes:

  • me traveling to your home (or meeting location) within 1 hour of Sugar Land, TX.
  • up to 2 hours of personal consulting
  • academic and college planning workbook

The cost of a VIP session is $1500. Please contact us by email to schedule. Out of area VIP sessions can be arranged, cost depends on travel and time.

What if I don’t see any openings on your calendar?

If you do not see appointments in the next 4-6 weeks, it means they are already taken. We are trying to plan consultation days a month in advance, but do so around Megan’s teaching and tutoring schedule. There may be points in the year where she is 100% booked an unable to offer consultations.
