SAT Success: Decoding Vocabulary

50% of a student’s SAT Reading score is based on knowledge of vocabulary.  The Sentence Completion questions are purely vocabulary based and the College Board has found plenty of ways to slip college bound words into the Reading Passage questions.  Obviously, knowing the words and building a strong college bound vocabulary is best, but here are some tips for dealing with those unfamiliar words.
